The Colour of Music Festival celebrates black classical composers and performers. Since 2013 the Colour of Music Festival has brought classically trained black musicians of African descent to share their musical talents and knowledge with Charleston through performances at various venues throughout historic Charleston, SC. Winter 2020 Colour of Music Festival will feature clarinetist Robert L. Davis and the new all-star Colour of Music Festival Octet. Performances will take place in intimate settings for audiences to experience the music up close including Edmonston-Alston House Museum Salon and Middleton Place Pavilion.
Since 2018 the Festival has also traveled to leading college venues.
