On December 16th, Charleston welcomes one of the most popular standup comedians in the country, D.L. Hughley. Head to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center for a night of laugh-out-loud entertainment.

D.L. first made a name for himself in the 90s when he toured the country with the likes of Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey, and Cedric the Entertainer. After selling out massive arenas, Spike Lee made a critically acclaimed docu-film of their $37 million tour. After this, Hughley went on to a highly successful solo career, which expanded to radio and tv audiences. He starred in the Aaron Sorkin NBC drama “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”, hosted the BET reality tv series “S.O.B. – Socially Offensive Behavior”, and starred in his own critically acclaimed HBO comedy special, “Unapologetic”. He later hosted the second season of HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam” and hosted the 2008 BET Awards before making his foray into hosting late night comedy. He currently hosts the morning show on WYKS-FM in New York and continues his national tour.

The D.L. Hughley & Friends Tour has been met with rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, and the shows are known for bringing along some stellar and surprising opening acts.
