Isle of Palms (IOP)

Separated from Mount Pleasant by the Intracoastal Waterway, Isle of Palms is as famous among visitors as it is a favorite for locals. With the Isle of Palms County Park offering convenient parking, beachfront lifeguards, public restroom and other amenities, IOP is the ideal beach for families of all sizes. And beyond lounging on the sand, you’ll find countless fishermen on the pier just waiting to reel in the catch of the day.

Folly Beach

Known for it’s laid-back vibes, Folly Beach offers a classic, casual family-friendly beach experience  with countless restaurants, bars, and beach shops.  Folly is also home to the East Coast’s second-largest fishing pier plus it’s among the top surfing destinations in South Carolina.  Visitors can spend the day building sand castles, biking, hiking, fishing, or riding the waves.

Sullivan’s Island

For those looking for a quieter experience, Sullivan’s Island is for you.  Less frequented than Folly Beach, Sullivan’s Island offers 3.3 miles of unspoiled sand and surf nestled just off of Charleston Harbor making it the perfect destination for a quiet stroll on the beach or a romantic picnic on the sand. Several restaurants and nearby vacation rentals make it the perfect respite for those looking to get away from it all.

Kiawah Island

Just south of Charleston, Kiawah Island is home to 10 miles of pristine beach, spectacular marsh views, sand dunes, and lush, coastal landscapes.
