James Island Festival of Lights

The James Island Festival of Light has been a Charleston tradition for over 29 years. It’s just not the holiday season without colorful lights and festive fun.  The festival of Lights is a three-mile driving tour that brings visitors through the park. Nobody should miss out on these light displays.

The festival is open every evening, “rain or shine,” from November 15 to December 31 at James Island County Park. The James Island Festival of Lights is more than just a driving tour though. Explore the displays for yourself and check out sand sculptures, get a ride on the holiday train or a old-fashioned Victorian carousel, grab treats from Santa’s Sweet Shoppe, and, of course, a visit with Santa Claus!
