Iris Festival
Sumter’s Iris Festival is South Carolina’s oldest festival. The 3-day event is held annually over Memorial Day Weekend and includes live entertainment, arts & crafts, food, contests, market place, plants & flowers, antique & classic car shows, a number of contests and lots of children’s activities, and a pageant.
Upstate Concert Band Festival
This is a concert music extravaganza that includes four concert bands representing three Upstate counties. The bands will perform Americana, marches, show tunes, old favorites and new music. Bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for a good time.
Aiken Memorial Day Parade
This is South Carolina’s Memorial Day Parade! Honor those who gave their lives to ensure our freedom, wear red, white, and blue and view the parade from the sidewalks of Laurens Street and Park Avenue.
Memorial Day Charleston Field of Honor
Taking place at Marion Square on Memorial Day, you can dedicate a flag in honor of all those who served. Funds raised will support our local veterans and families in crisis with Emergency Relief. Flags will be available for pick up at the event.
