St. Patrick’s Day is back in Charleston, SC! St. Patrick’s Day 2022 falls on Thursday, March 17th, and there is plenty to do in Charleston between now and then. This year you’ll see the return of pub-crawls, marching bands, green fountains, and step dancers. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the Lowcountry!

March 9 – Carryin’ O’ The Keg

The Park Circle community kicks off the St. Patrick’s Season with the Carrying O’ The Keg. Starting at Commonhouse Aleworks, bagpipers led a procession to Madra Rua Irish Pub.

March 12 – North Charleston St. Patrick’s Day Block Party and Parade

St. Patrick’s Day Block Party & Parade returns after a two-year hiatus. North Charleston’s Block Party & Parade is the biggest St. Patrick’s Day event of the year with live music, street vendors, and a parade featuring The Charleston Pipe Band, Riptide Roller Derby Team, and Irish step dancers. There’s also a Kid’s Zone with games and face painting! It’s free and open to the public, and starts at Park Place East.

March 12 and March 17 – Kiss Me, I’m Irish: Charleston St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl

There are two chances to make it to the “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” bar crawl this year. The event starts at JohnKing Grill & Bar where you’ll receive a wristband and a map with participating bars and each of their specialty drinks.

March 17 – Charleston’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Taking place on St. Patrick’s Day, Charleston’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins with mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church followed by a parade at 10 AM. The parade features fire trucks, mascots, marching bands, fiddlers, and Irish step dancers. The route begins at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on the corner of Radcliffe St.

March 17 – Shamrocked: 6th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Party

Taking place at The Brick Tavern, Shamrocked features St. Patty’s food and drink specials. This cozy tavern has 12 flat screen TVs, bar games, free Wi-Fi, and a large outdoor patio. The event goes into the wee hours and is a great way to end your St. Patrick’s Day.
