Late summer and autumn is a great time to book a tour in Charleston.  There’s everything from spooky ghost tours of Charleston’s oldest graveyards to historic walking tours of Charleston’s most prominent neighborhoods and families. Plantations around Charleston usually plan a variety of fall events throughout the season. Boone Hall Plantation Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze is one of the largest fall festivals in the state. It includes a petting zoo, pig races, tractor tours, live music, and of course everyone’s favorite corn maze. The Magnolia Plantation also hosts their Autumn on the Ashley fair in October.  Autumn on the Ashley is a craft fair that features a variety of local artisan crafts and folk art.

Sports Games

Fall is a great time to take in sports in Charleston. Get tickets to a Citadel Bulldogs college football game. The Citadel’s season runs from September to November. There’s also the Charleston Battery minor league soccer team with games played in Mount Pleasant.

The Fall Tours

It wouldn’t be fall without The Fall Tours in Charleston. The Fall Tours of Architecture, History, and Gardens is from October 11 to November 4, and offers guests a stroll through Charleston’s most exceptional homes and gardens.
