This fall season brings with it a slate of world-class art exhibits and performances from some of the best artists and directors alive today. Some of the best live music performances in Charleston take place annually during the Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown. This year’s two-day fest takes place this weekend, from November 10th to the 11th. Join for lively musical performances and some of the best barbecue around. Make sure to book your tickets ASAP. Also this weekend is the Boots, Bottles & Blessings Festival in the Deep Water Vineyard. Celebrate the end of the harvest with a day of tastings, autumnal activities for all ages, and live music all day.
Throughout November and into December, meet at the Mills House Hotel for the Lowcountry Blues Brunch with Shrimp City Slim. Tuck into some delicious brunch while taking in some of the best piano blues around. On the 17th, the monthly Jam on the Water Concert Cruise Series, which has local bands covering classic rock legends, aboard the Carolina Queen sees Widespread Panic by 54 Bicycles perform. This event is for ages 21 and up, and make sure to reserve your place now.
If you’re a cinephile, Historic Rooftop at The Restoration hosts a free series of “sunset screenings” throughout the autumn months. Rain or shine, classic American films will light up the rooftop. On November 16th, Good Will Hunting will be shown with drinks and snacks, so gather your group and plan accordingly!
