Gaillard Center

Located at 95 Calhoun Street in Charleston, SC, the Charleston Gaillard Center is a beautiful venue and world-class performance hall. Their mission is to provide the Lowcountry with educational opportunities and inspire the community through the power of the performing arts.

The Charleston Gaillard Center is a non-profit and the original Gaillard Municipal Auditorium was first opened in 1968. It’s served as a venue in Charleston for thousands of memorable performances and civic events. The 2,750-seat music hall and large multipurpose exhibition hall make the Gaillard Center Charleston’s largest performing arts venue. It also become the home of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra in the’80s and helped found the Spoleto Festival USA.

The Charleston Gaillard Center offers a wide variety of performances throughout the year including Shakespearean plays, contemporary theatrical productions, concerts, and ballet and dance performances. The Charleston Gaillard Center also offers students workshops, classes, and summer camps to schools at no charge.

Parking is available at the Gaillard Center Garage, which is adjacent to the facility as well as the Aquarium Garage. But you can avoid parking entirely with RideGCT.
